NDLA’s Objectives
The organization promotes values that foster a powerful community of legal professionals committed to empower legal fraternity and serving society’s best interests.
It also emphasises the need to provide adequate security to lawyers involved in cases that could pose threats to their own lives and the well-being of their families, thereby enabling them to advocate for justice freely.
The association firmly believes in the power of Media and the advocates in bringing justice meet its ends to the needy and vulnerable in the society. Therefore, all media personals and advocates play an active and significant role in bringing justice, equality and ensure powerful setup for the people at large. Thus acknowledging the efforts of the media persons and lawyers working diligently in accelerating and facilitating social justice becomes one of the major goal of the association.
NDLA’s Initiatives
NDLA has been actively involved in facilitating workshops, seminars, and other events to assist lawyers, student interns, and other law-related professionals.
Recognizing the vulnerability faced by advocates, judges, and legal professionals due to the nature of their work, NDLA has voiced concerns about the Advocates Protection Act.
NDLA has consistently recognized the vital role of media personnel as a cornerstone of democracy, particularly journalists in various fields. The association organizes the Annual Justice Media Awards event, where journalists from diverse backgrounds are honoured as valuable assets to society. Esteemed personalities from the judiciary preside over the program, serving as mentors and inspiring the entire legal community.
